Rules

There are four rules that students are expected to follow in my room:

1.  Follow directions quickly - this means that when I ask a student to do something, I expect them to say, "ok" and do it right away.

2.  Raise your hand for permission to speak - this means that when a student has something to say, they need to raise their hand, and wait to be called on.

3.  Make smart choices - I tell students that smart choices are those that make you feel good inside; things like following directions, doing your best work, saying kind words, being friendly, etc.

4.  Keep your dear teacher happy - I introduce this one by explaining to students what makes me happy; things like when students are learning, when students are trying their best, when they are working hard, when they are polite and respectful to one another, etc.
